From the moment you place your $25 intake deposit to the moment your finished quilt arrives back at your door, here's exactly what happens — and why we built GEasy Longarm Services to feel different from anywhere else you've sent a quilt for finishing.
Our process, step by step
Six steps from intake to insured return. No mystery, no waiting weeks for a reply.
Place your $25 intake deposit
Your deposit reserves your spot in our quilting queue. It's also a personal commitment from our team to walk through your project with you. The deposit is applied to your final quilting invoice — it isn't an extra fee.
We email you within 1-3 business days
Julie or Laura will reach out personally to talk through the next steps for your specific project. Real people, real responses, no automated chains.
You choose mail-in or drop-off
Mail your quilt to us from anywhere in the U.S., or drop it off in person at our Chaska, MN studio (Mon-Fri, 10AM-2PM). Both paths get the same care and the same team.
We call you to review pricing + confirm details
Once your quilt arrives, we walk through your design preferences, batting choice, density, timeline, and final pricing — all on a personal phone call. No surprise invoices.
Your quilt is longarmed with care
We finish your quilt to the agreed-upon design and quality. Julie and Laura review every project personally — the same attention to detail Gudrun Erla has brought to GE Designs patterns for decades.
Insured return shipping back to you
Your finished quilt is professionally packaged and shipped back insured. Or if you dropped it off, we'll let you know it's ready for pickup.
What's included in every project
No upcharges for the things every quilt needs.
Personal consultation
A real conversation about your quilt — design, density, timeline, batting, backing — with Julie or Laura, not a form.
Professional longarm quilting
Edge-to-edge or custom design options. Skilled hands, calibrated equipment, careful tension on every pass.
Clear communication
You'll always know where your quilt is in the queue. No vague replies. No "we'll get to it eventually."

Common questions
Quick answers to what most people ask before sending us their quilt.
How much does longarm quilting cost?
Pricing depends on quilt size, quilting density, and design choice. We don't believe in surprise invoices — every quote is reviewed with you on a personal phone call before we start. See our pricing page for the full breakdown of what factors into your final cost.
How long will it take?
Our current lead time is updated daily on the homepage. Most quilts are completed in days, not weeks. Once your quilt is in our queue, we move quickly — and you'll know exactly where it stands.
Do I need to ship my quilt, or can I drop it off?
Both work. We're set up for mail-in service from anywhere in the U.S. with insured return shipping included. If you're local to the Twin Cities, you can drop off and pick up in person at our Chaska studio (Mon-Fri, 10AM-2PM).
What do I need to send with my quilt?
The quilt top, backing fabric, and batting (or let us know what batting you'd prefer — we can source it for you). Julie or Laura will walk you through exactly what's needed for your specific project after your intake deposit.
Who actually quilts my project?
Julie and Laura — the operators of GEasy Longarm Services. Every project gets personal attention from one of them. This isn't a high-volume assembly-line shop.
What sizes can you quilt?
We quilt from baby/lap through king-size projects. If you have a particularly large project, mention it during intake and we'll confirm it fits our setup.
